No sign. No promises.

Rooms you reach through something else entirely: a phone booth, a walk-in refrigerator, a laundromat, an unmarked steel door with a single buzzer. The threshold is the point — once you are through it, the room owes you nothing but a very good drink.

Questions people ask

Do hidden-door bars require a password?
Some do. A handful of rooms rotate a password daily and publish it only to reservation holders. Most simply rely on you knowing which door to open, and on a host deciding there is room for you.
Can I just walk in?
Often yes, if you arrive early and your party is small. Two people at 6pm on a Tuesday will get in almost anywhere. Six people at 10pm on a Saturday will not.
Why are these bars so strict about phones and noise?
The house rules are the product. Small rooms with no signage stay pleasant only if everyone agrees to keep their voice down and their screen dark.
